Week 9

G'day all

Hope you've all settled back into your study now after your Easter break. I realise that today is the first day back for some of you so I hope you won't be too shocked at having to do a reading assessment today!! It is quite simple so don't stress too much!!

Your first task this morning is to go into your blog and write a recount of your holiday! You can talk in general about what you did over the two weeks or you can go into detail about what you did on one of the days!! It's up to you!

When you've written it, copy it onto a word document, increase the font and then print it off for me to correct!

Once you've done that, you can move on to activity 2. That is, log on to this link, click on the Biography section up on the top right of the screen and answer  questions 1-5 on the worksheet. Then click on the link  to Quotes & Trivia on the menu on the left of the screen to answer questions 6-9.

Week 8

G'day all

Well as you didn't get a chance to use the internet in class last week and therefore didn't see the Blog post for Week 7, you can do some of those activities today. Read the instructions and then pick up the worksheets you need!

Here are some words associated with Easter. How many can you find? Can you make up some sentences using these words?

In addition, I have an Easter Webquest for you to attempt today. Pick up a worksheets from my table and click on the links provided to answer the series of questions.

Week 7

G'day all

Well done on the work you did on the Earth Hour worksheet last week. I hope you switched off on Saturday night! Open this link and answer the follow up questions about the event. Ask me for the page.

After that I want you to make sure you have written and edited your blog posts. It's time to move on!

Then have a look at this Mr Bean video when he goes to the department store. I have prepared a worksheet to help you with the vocabulary you'll need to write a recount of the video. Please note that the questions are written in the present tense but of course, when you write your recount you have to use the Past Simple.

Remember to use the structure for a recount! - Orientation; Sequence of Events and a Reorientation and/or a Coda (personal comment). The language should use the past simple, time words/phrases, and noun groups (Adjective +noun)

Write it up in your blog. You can even add the link to the video if you want! Ask me how!
