Week 14

G'day all

I hope you're not all too confused after all the information you were given at the Pathways talks on Tuesday afternoon! There was a lot of information to take in, wasn't there?

Today is World Environment Day. What is the 'slogan' for 2014? Check on Google if you don't know the answer. The Student Association is holding a Morning Tea to celebrate the event so I invite you to go there for a cuppa after this class session. I'll even be generous and give you a 20minute break!!!

A few weeks ago you found out your ecological/carbon footprint. Have a look at this site to see 25 ways you could reduce the size of your footprint. You probably do a lot of these things already but check out the list and then on the sheet provided, list 4 changes you could make in your daily life to reduce your footprint and say WHY each thing you'd change would make a difference. Here is another link if you want to get more ideas!

Well, today is your second last class with me in the computer room. I hope you've enjoyed the activities I set for you over the semester. Your first task today is to go to the Comments section at the end of this post and leave a comment about your thoughts on this. I do value your feedback.

Post the information about your 'favourite' Australian person in your blog and add a photo of him or her.

Then here is a good game to practise both reading skills and following directions! Try it out and see how you get on! Click on this link and begin!

Take the rest of the time to make sure you have put your recount and any other texts you want in your blog.

Happy blogging and have a good LONG weekend!

  3. Dear Marion,

Thanks for teaching us! In this semester we have a great teacher, you're well prepared and organised. I have learnt so much new vocabulary. I know the different famous Australian people which are interesting, even though I have lived in Australia for a long time. I don't know much about these people.

I like the topics you chose for us. e.g. St Patrick Day, World Enviroment Day and Refund Policy. These are all around our daily living. They are interesting and helpful.

    Thank you for teaching us

I wish you have a lovely holiday and see you around TAFE in next semester

    Karen ^_^
